This weekend, the 6th and 7th of June, will see the annual motrocycle meet organised by the biker club, Los Tiburones.
The venue, as in previous years, will be the Parque El Pozuelo, which was also given the name Pepe Matías; the recently deceased Almuñécar biker and town-hall chief electrician, much loved in his hometown.
If you’re still not sure where the park is, we’re talking about on the beach area of Taramay, near where the Iguana Restaurant was.
This year is the 16th annual bike meet and attendance is expecting to reach some 500 bikers, explained club chairman, Miguel Rodríguez.
The event kicks off at 10.00h on Saturday and will include, live music, both male and female striptease shows, competitions, draws and the odd human sacrifice… just joking!
If you want to participate, the fee is ten euros, for which you get a T-shirt, a badge, food and drinks. If you just want to go along and take a look at the parked bikes, well that’s free, of course
And if you don’t want to go all the way out to Taramay to see the bikes, you can wait for them to appear around town as they will be parading around the main streets – just watch out for the columns of smoke to see where they have reached… just joking, again!
We’ve included a photo gallery taken during one of the previous bike meets and the main article photo is of last year’s promotional poster.
