Baby Rescued in Kindergarten

A 9-month-old baby was rescued from a kindergarten that had closed for Easter with staff not realizing that there was a baby still inside.

The incident occurred on Easter Wednesday in metropolitan Granada.

The parents had turned up to pick up their child that Wednesday evening but the kindergarten staff had closed the premises with two days holidays ahead of them. Nobody realised that there was a baby sleeping in its pram when they turned off the lights and pulled down the shutters.

Nobody except its parents, that is.

When they turned up it was to find the premises closed, so they tried to phone the owner, but all they obtained was, “apagado o fuera de cobertura.”

The mother pressed her nose to the window and saw that her pram was inside… and it was rocking. She immediately called the police and fire service.

The firemen arrive and force the security blinds and door and find the baby in the pram, safe and sound.

Whilst all this was going on, the kindergarten owner had turned up to find out what is happening.

The parents, relieved to find their child safe, decided not to press charges.

All ended well.
