Young cyclist, Iván Ruiz Martín, from La Herradura won the XXI Open Mountain Bike Huercal in Almería.

This race is the first of four trials within the I Circuito Provincial BTT Rally and this win earns him points towards the ranking in the twelve Andalusian races this year.

Ruiz Martín had to complete five laps of a 5-km circuit, which he achieved in 48 minutes and 56 seconds, a full three minutes ahead of his closest rival.

A total of 300 competitors participated in the race.
