Readers might remember the act of aggression carried out with an iron bar in front of a large supermarket in Salobreña.

First of all, subsequent reports stated that the weapon was not an iron bar, but a machete and both the attacker and victim were vagrants or whatever the term that is used nowadays.

Right after the attack the Guardia Civil identified the alleged assailant and released him, however, when the victim came out of hospital he filed legal complaint, so the police re-arrested the 48-year-old man on Monday the 16th and charged him with grievous bodily harm.

Even now it is not known what caused the argument and subsequent attack.
