The village football ground, Las Tejas, has finally got its permanent refreshment kiosk-cum-bar up and running!
Village First Councillor, Juan José Ruiz Joya, announced that the call for such a structure has been a “historic demand; ” i.e., people have been going on about it for a long time. Sales in the kiosk would be used to raise funds for local sports clubs, for example.
Local building company, Antonio Barbero, erected the 20 sq/m structure, installing electricity and running water, all for the modicum price of 29,000 euros – a sum slighty greater than decorating a main-road roundabout (ehem!).
Representatives from the local clubs expressed their thanks at the handing over ceremony.
