The Street Market was originally planned for Saturday the 11th but had to be postponed until Monday the 13th because of rain.
The slogan for the event was Nos Vamos de Compras (We’re Going Shopping) and according to the First Councillor for La Herradura, Juan José Ruiz Joya, it worked, with around 20 businesses setting up stalls on the morning.
He went on to explain that the market also had a spot of live music and that there was a ‘face-painting’ workshop for the kids.
“What we are trying to do is continue to stimulate local trade in La Herradura along the lines of what we did during the summer; i.e. the Outlet event, held in the Castle. Now that autumn has begun, we thought it best to choose a centric venue like the Plaza de la Independencia.
