The provincial public prosecutor for Granada has recommended a 12-year, prison sentence for a hotel proprietor who allegedly stabbed an electrician. This occurred on the 6th of March, 2012.
Apparently, the owner of a hotel in Cenes de la Vega had had a heated argument with an electrician who was working on nearby apartments, which also belonged to the hotel owner.
José G.Q.R. (50) allegedly ran back into the hotel, grabbed a rather nasty-looking kitchen knife with a 15cm blade, and went up onto the roof terrace of a house, where the man was working on the facade.
There he waited – reportedly – until the electrician showed his head as he came up the ladder and then plunged the knife into his neck, leaving an 8-cm gash. Obviously, the victim survived, because the charge is attempted murder.
The trial will take place on the 1st and 2nd of October.
