Carchuna Castle is the venue for a painting exhibition of the works of local artists.

The show, entitled, Con Arte will be running until the 15th of August, from 10:00h to 13:00h and from 18:00h to 21:00h. Entrance is free.

The Mayor of Motril, Luisa García Chamorro, pointed out that the castle has already seen two exhibitions so far this year: one of Guardia Civil uniforms and equipment and the other was a historical photo exhibition.

The First Councillor for Carchuna/Calahona, Sra. Abarca, explained that this painting exhibition comprises 65 canvases of varying styles and techniques and eight decorated roof tiles.

The local artists behind the work exhibited are: Jose Valdivia ‘El malagueño,’ Delia María Cívico Cabrera, Blanca Bedmar, Mati Salcedo, Gloria Maldonado, Lourdes Salguero and Pedro Morales.
