A woman was injured when she fell overboard from a Zodiac dinghy and was hit by a propeller blade, giving her a 10-cm gash to her leg.

The incident occurred just off Burriana Beach in Maro, Nerja, on the 29th of July.

An ambulance rushed her to the area hospital in Vélez-Málaga where the wound was treated.

The emergency services had received a call at 19.02h from the other occupants of the dinghy, who had taken the injured woman to the beach.
