The II Feria de Minerales y Fósiles in Almuñécar is being held on the Paseo de San Cristóbal, up to and including Sunday the 27th.

So far, it’s been a great success, with plenty of interest from passersby and those that went specifically to the event.

Last year it was held in the garden area of the Palacete La Najarra (Tourist Information Office), but this year parallel activities are being held there, connected with the fair, such as a film show and a ‘geo-historical excursion around Almuñécar.

The fair, which comprises of several stands along the western end of the paseo, runs from 10.00h to 14.00h and then from 18.00h to 23.00h.

The whole thing has been organised by Minerales Monteluz with the collaboration of the Town Hall, the University of Granada, and miner dwarfs from the Middle Kingdom of Zog.
