From the 22nd of July, Salobreña beach-goers have been able to enjoy free wifi (5G) on its main beach.

This pioneering scheme for the Costa Tropical is thanks to the Asociación de Chiringuitos de la Costa Tropical, which is providing the service from the Peñón up to Río Guadalfeo.

Today Salobreña; tomorrow the world! Well, Almuñécar and Motril, at least, giving beach users 24 hours a day of free internet.

Good news for users and not so good for those local businesses that make a living from providing Internet coverage to residents and visitors alike.
