Almuñécar’s Parque Botánico, El Majuelo was packed with event goers at the XVI Feria Gastronómica; it was too good to miss!
The event started on Friday the 6th and lasted until Sunday afternoon on the 8th, with stands offering fantastic tasters – nobody went hungry…
There was also prize giving, associated with the new addition to this annual event called the II Encuentro Gastronómico de Blogueros. Blogueros, you might have guessed, is Spanish for bloggers.
The Councillor for Commerce, José Manuel Fernández, did the honours, together with the Councillor for Tourism, Rafael Caballero, for imaginative creations. Glad to see the lads at Árbol Blanco picked up a prize (most original) for their Bacalao al Garum.
Just under 30 gastronomic bloggers participated, whose blogs had such unusual names as Trapped in the Kitchen, My Granny’s Oven, Helena’s Stew and Peace Tarts…
The local bars and restaurants that had stalls in the park were: Mesón El Corzo, Mesón Gala; Restaurante Casa Paco, Restaurante Chill Out LU, Heladería Daniel, Pastelería Mari Trini, Chambao Joaquín, Mesón Mari y Miguel, El Mesón de Daniel, Freiduría Lute y Jesús, Pastelería Caribe, Restaurante La Despensa de la Abuela, Asador Casa La Parra, Mesón El Niño del Tuerto, Restaurante El Balcón de Cotobro, Restaurante Árbol Blanco, Restaurante Antiguo Mesón and Bar Bikini.
