A-7 to Open before End of Month

ALM A-7 TaramayThe long-awaited A-7 autovia connection between Taramay and Lobres will be inaugurated on the 26th or 27th of June. The news was given by the provincial representative of the Central Government, Santiago Pérez.

This stretch of autovía will mean that coastal traffic coming from the Málaga direction can now connect directly with the A-44 Granada autovía, without having to use the N-430.

He did just happen to mention that this is all dependent on there being no hitches between now and then, although he reassured that if there were, it would take place the following week – with July in full swing.

The coastal hotel sector expressed their pleasure that the autovía would finally be opening before the police, summer-traffic operation, Operación Salida, which marks the onslaught of summer traffic, comes into being.

On a different note, the A-44 Rules bridge over the reservoir was reopened to traffic for the summer, as promised, at the end of May.
