The blue-zone system comes into force on the 22nd of June, but before that job applications must be sent by those interested in being a meter maid!
From the 26th to the 29th of this month, those interested in applying for one of the parking-attendant jobs have a chance to submit their application to the company that will run the blue zones, Estacionamientos y servicios S.A.
Where can you find them? Well, they’ve opened an office on Avenida del Mediterráneo (Nº31).
The other important piece of information is that from the 1st of June locals living on blue-zone streets can apply for a sticker/sign for their car and thus be eligible for special monthly passes.
Leave your application at the Jefatura de la Policía Local, accompanied by copies of your personal ID papers, driving licence, and the vehicle’s log book, as well as the last receipt for having paid your municipal vehicle tax… and not forgetting… a partridge in a pear tree.
Remember, you will need to take along the originals, and any photocopy needs to be ‘compulsado; i.e., bears an official stamp from the police or Town Hall.
Well, you wanted blue zones in Salobreña so stop ya whining!
