Natural Gas for Salobreña

SAL Gas NaturalThe Mayor, Gonzalo Fernández Pulido and a representative from the Gas Natural, Francisco Torres, are looking into connecting the town up. The regional distribution for Gas Natural already has a network of municipalities across Andalucia.

The ground work for including Salobreña really started about two years ago and since then the basic infrastructure – some 2,000 metres of network – have already been laid, which include the old town and the beach area.

The network, which required an investment of 2m euros, begins on Avenida del Mediterráneo, and continues along Federico García Lorca where it will branch out to cover the rest of the town.

For the Mayor, such an addition to the town’s infrastructure will help greatly the economical development of the town, as it is a more economical system for households than the butane bottles. Another installation to benefit from it will be the municipal swimming pool.
