If you have a name like Jesse James, you sort of feel obliged to embark on a life of crime… and why not take along the very person that gave you that name to lend a hand? Off we go to Palm Beach County in Florida, USA.

Jesse James Dillen, 20, found himself under arrest after he allegedly robbed 78-year-old Arther Nieding, taking his wallet, in the car park of Walmart in Greenacres, Florida. The allegation is that Dillen approached his victim as he opened his car door, pushing him around, then hitting him before stealing his wallet, containing around 40 dollars and some credit cards.

The evidence against the, not-so-clever, Jesse, included CCTV footage of him attacking Mr. Neiding and making off in  the passenger seat of a white SUV. Detectives found the car and stopped it… there was Jesse, with his mum, Anne Negron, behind the wheel.

Young Jesse is being charged with robbery and assault, whilst his mother has not yet been charged. Mrs. Negron’s husband was later questioned about his wife’s involvement by the local press, but he became so angry the police were called.

We at the Gazette think that this story is quite sweet… she gives birth, helps him on his first steps, first day at school, and finally with his first robbery. The dedication of the woman has to be admired… or not!
