The Plaza de las Comunidades Autónomas in Motril was the venue for the XIII Classic Automobile Meet, on the weekend of the 6th and 7th of June.
Organised by the Club de Vehículos Románticos ‘Costa Tropical,’ the meet began with a tour around the main streets of the town, taking in the Motril beach area.
Amongst the participating vehicles was a car from 1928 and a motorbike from 1932, as well as a wide selection of cars through the ages, many of which are used for filming period pieces. All told we’re talking about nearly 100 vehicles.
The Chairman of the Club de Vehículos Románticos ‘Costa Tropical’, Francisco Pérez, who has been participating in this kind of event for the last 30 years, pointed out that apart from this annual event when club members get the chance to meet up, this year included a collection point for non-perishable food items for the local Food Bank.
