Vegetables Confiscated

The Almuñécar municipal police pounced, fearlessly, and confiscated 120 kilos of fruit and vegetables from a stallholder at the Sunday flea market.

The police would like to remind everybody that the Sunday market is only for 2nd-hand articles, antiques and handicraft products and that the sale of brand new products – unless you have a shop in Almuñécar – food or live animals is forbidden.

In this case, the confiscated fruit and vegetables was whisked off up to the Peña Escrita mountain park to feed the animals.

It was difficult to type this article as my hands are still shaking from the excitement of it all…
