From tomorrow until Sunday, you will have a chance to have a shufty (look) at all the Indiana Jones props from the ones filmed in the Almería and Guadix area.
All kinds of props from the Last Crusade film are on display in the Guadix Oficina de Turismo, thanks to the display organiser, Toni Rodríguez, Javier Morales and Tonñi Requena.
Starting tomorrow, the 24th the Guadix municipal band will be belting out music from the soundtrack of the film and others filmed in Guadix.
On Saturday there will be a guided tour of the locations and even an exhibition on how to use a whip – bring your own leather and chains. The high point will be a short film that records the memories and anecdotes of the extras used on the film set – it will be projected in the municipal theatre.
On Sunday the 26th there will be recreations of scenes from the film – there will be three showing, in between which you can visit the sets.
The only downer (negative point) is that the train that was used in the film (Baldwin) won’t be present for this 25th anniversary of the shooting of this film, despite repeated requests by the Mayor to the Centro de Estudios Históricos del Ferro carril – there was a last minute hitch.
Never mind, because it is still well worth the trip up there for the event.
