The old town of La Herradura is like any other Andalusian one that was revamped in the 70’s – cobblestone surfaces and plenty of steps, however in today’s world people with mobility problems are taken more into account. How ever did the elderly make do before during the centuries?
Anyway, the Town Hall is continuing with its redesigning of the villages narrow streets, on the slope at the southern end of Calle San Ramón and Las Morenas. They are using the same flat cobble stones as used in Calle Granada, called adoquinado románico.
In the meantime, the east exit road from the beach leading up to Marina del Este continues to deteriorate with the ‘undulations’ where the road is sinking becoming more pronounced.
