If you have an ‘illegal cortijo’ in the Motril Vega, or anywhere else in its municipality, you might want to go along to the meeting on the 3rd of April. The venue is the Teatro Calderón de la Barca and the meeting starts at 20.00h.

Experts from the municipal Urban Planning and the Agricultural Department will be there to explain what steps need to be taken to legalize a building and the consequences of not doing so. The Meeting will be chaired by the Vice Mayor, Nicolás Navarro and the idea is to inform and answer doubts that those present might have. A golden opportunity, without a doubt, for anybody with an illegal cortijo.

Summing up, they will explain what the Asimilado al Régimen de Fuera de Ordenación (AFO) is when dealing with buildings on Suelo No Urbanizable; which buildings should be processed and the requisites to do so; the advantages of taking this step and the consequences of not doing so.
