The Nerja Museum is holding an exhibition of Los Carteles de Miró comprising of 32 posters, which were commissioned by art galleries and produced by the painter between 1963 and 1985.
The Diputación Provincial de Málaga, as part of its ‘Itinerarte’ programme, inaugurated the the display for the first time. Present at the inauguration were the provincial Council Head of the Culture Department, Marina Bravo; the municipal Councillor for Education and Culture, Gema García; and the Manager of the Nerja Caves Foundation, Angel Ruiz, as well as Francisco Quero and Carmen Moyano, who own the collection.
All the posters are original, made from colour lithographs and deal with art galleries where he had works at the time. One of the main galleries included is the Galería Maeght, with which he had links.
The exhibition runs to the 20th of March and can be visited from 10.00h to 14.00h and from 16.00h to 18.30h, Monday through to Sunday.
