Motril’s Ham Radio Club

Did you know that Motril has a ham radio club? On the International Day of Peace the club went around to the San Agustín school to whip up some interest amongst the young.

The club belongs to the Unión Nacional de Radioaficionados (UNR), which asked its members all over Spain to do the same, i.e., go along to a local school and be on the air from 09.00h to 10.00h so that school kids could chat with each other from different parts of the country, and who knows, with anybody else on that frequency around the globe at that time.

Radioclub Motril has over 100 members and meets every Friday between 19.00h and 21.30h in their club, situated in the Alcoholera. You can email them at: ea7rcm@gmail.com
