The CA councillor in the Salobreña Town Council has pointed out, with relish, that last year the socialists, who were in opposition, berated the previous administration for the lamentable state of the Lobres municipal swimming pool… “Whose fault is it now?” he asks.
The newly installed socialist council wrung their hands, explaining how they had had to pull out all the stops to get the pool into operation by August, owing to the lamentable state in which the outgoing conservatives had left it.
The defects were five: the change of depth wasn’t marked on the sides of the pool, the life preservers didn’t have any ropes attached, the splash pool had no skimmers, the artificial beach had no gradient and there were no signs indicating the maximum capacity of the installations.
The opposition councillor observed dryly that after one year in office, the swimming pool appears to have escaped the Town Council’s attention as when it opened its doors for the season on the 13th of July, those ‘serious defects’ didn’t appear to be ‘serious’ anymore, because they still existed. Somebody had put depth markings on the pool side… but in the wrong places.
Furthermore, just about any vegetation within the installations area have been removed, completely destroying the original vanguard concept of ‘Artificial Green Valley.’
It’s all in a days work for our heroic politicians, one can suppose.
