A 23-year-old Spaniard from Coin in Málaga was murdered in Bournemouth. Sergio Retamar, who had been working there as a waiter, had told friends that his flatmate was ‘loco.’

The circumstances of the young man’s death was particularly gruesome as the murderer had stabbed him to death before decapitating him.

Witness had reported that a heavily blood-stained man had run from the house in Landsdowne Road, heading in the direction of the railway station.

The suspect, who was arrested shortly after the incident, is a 29-year-old local, who is reported to be one of the flatmates of the victim.

Members of the victims family immediately left for Bournemouth upon hearing the news, and were able to identify the victim. The mother, in the meantime, remained behind, too distraught for the journey, and is receiving psychological help.

Apparently, the suspect scared the crap out of his fellow flatmates, so much so that they would lock their room doors at night. Attempts to have the landlord of the flat above the pub to evict the troublemaker came too late as the attack took place on the day that the suspect was supposed to be leaving the accommodation.
