A man before the Motril law courts was found guilty of talking a minor into leaving home over an Internet chat connection.
The 40-year-old man, M.B.F. from Jaén, convinced the 14-year-old lad to leave the family home in Vélez Benaudalla and was subsequently fined 1,080 euros. According to court’s findings, the man had sent the boy back home again, once he found out that his parents had reported him to the police.
The judge found that M.B.F. had taken advantage of his superiority in age to convince the boy to abandon his home on the 28th of May 2004. After that the lad moved in with the man in Mallorca, with the two moving between different abodes during the time that they were together.
