Great news for paperwork addicts: Salobreña will now have a ventanilla única; i.e., one office where you can sort out all your paperwork, without being bandied about from office to office.

The said office is called the Oficina de Atención Al Ciudadano (OAC). It’s in the left-hand-side of the town hall, but I’m not sure on what floor. No fewer than five town-hall clerks man the office, dealing with everything from building licences to getting your name put down on the municipal resident register. Oh, and don’t forget to grab a ticket when you arrive to wait your turn.
