A man seeking wild mushrooms up the mountains along the Old Road to Granada was unpleasantly surprised when a wild boar came darting out of the bush to plunge his tusks into this calf.

“I had thought it was some small creature that was scared because of this odd sound. And when I looked around, the pig was just about on me,” he explained.

Despite wearing boots, the tusks went straight through them. Naturally, the victim yelled out and at the boar, which not only scared off the beast but alerted his friend who, unawares, was only a few meters away.

The man, not wishing to be identified, still felt the incident needed publicity as where it occured is popular with other adventurers and just that morning, he and his friend had seen some children in the area.
