The Instituto Cervantes is a public institution, for the promotion and learning of the Spanish language and its culture all over the world. They issue (on behalf of the Spanish Ministry for Education) the official Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE).
Since 2003 Tropical Coast Languages in Almuñécar, has been an Accredited Teaching Centre of Instituto Cervantes. This means it complies with all the stipulated I.C requirements and that through periodic inspections guarantee their fulfilment.
These requirements are fully comprehensive and include all aspects of a quality run school from having the entire course syllabus designed according to Instituto Cervantes syllabus and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (Council of Europe) levels and competences, to having specific facilities, audiovisual media, cultural activities, an in-house training plan for the teaching staff, etc.  It is important to stress that not all Spanish schools meet these standards.
The Instituto Cervantes accreditation enables TCLanguages to be part of the Board of Examiners for the DELE exam in Granada; an examinations centre for The Madrid Chamber of Commerce exams for Commercial Spanish, Medical Spanish and Spanish for Tourism.
