The Guardia Civil is investigating a burglary in town, allegedly carried out by two women, who left their 84-year-old victim nude, on the floor. He was also in a serious condition, having sustained injuries typical of a fall.
The victim, Belgian R.L.N. later died in Motril’s Hospital Santa Ana.
The incident took place on the 8th of September at around 11.30 in the morning – neighbours had heard shouting coming from his house and had called the Local Police.
However, it was the Guardia Civil that went round to the flat on the Paseo de Reina Sofía to investigate, accompanied by members of the Almuñécar fire service, who had to force the door.
The 77-year-old widow made a statement to the police saying that two women had entered the flat and had robbed them without their being able to offer an effective resistance due to their advanced age.
