Although greeted with some reticence, the mini bus system to take bathers down to the naturist beach in Cantarriján has broken last year’s record, by transporting more than 24,000 people to the beach in just two months!
I must admit, I was rather cynical in a previous article when I said that the trip involved being squashed up against an overweight, 60-year-old man in a thong for the duration, and I now retract any such statement, and if anyone has the urge to descend to the said beach, next to a semi-naked, leather skinned woman smelling of sun oil, all power to them.
The important part about the record is that, despite all the worries and moans, this system is good for the environment as a whole and in particular the natural park and beach at this particular location, and the powers that be did well to stick so rigidly to their guns under such heavy criticism.
Of course with the summer now a distant sweaty memory, you can now descend in your car whenever the urge takes you.
