Lobres has inaugurated its’ public swimming pool, which can best be described as avant-garde in its design. The pool can be found next to the gym.
The Mayor, Jesus Avelino Menéndez and the Councillor for Lobres, Isabel Correa, both said that they were more than satisfied with this new addition to recreational installations in the village.
The design of the pool came from the prestigious architect study, DJ Arquitectura. What makes it different is that it is set in a sort of artificial valley; in other words it’s surrounded by fake hillsides, which house the changing rooms, toilets and refreshments kiosk. Not bad, eh, for a village with a population of 900?
