Motril Molester Sentenced

mot-law-courtsThe Motril law courts have sentenced a man to a 21-month, suspended sentence for having sexually assaulted a women in the streets of the town.

He has also had a court order issued against him, forbidding him from approaching the victim within 300 metres, either in her place of residence or work for the next five years. There’s also a 240-euro fine to pay.

The assault took place at 08.00h on the 6th of August on a central street in Motril. The man approached her as she was walking home and “with the intention of satisfying his sexual libido,” he shoved her against a shop window, trapping her there and then began to to kiss and molest her whilst attempting to lift her skirt.

The victim offered “strong resistance” but was unable to break his grip on her.

As a result of the assault the woman required medical assistance and seven days to recover from her injuries.
