Everybody’s Beaches

(TLV) There is little that Spain can thank Franco for, but if there is something, it is the fact that nobody can own a beach in Spain – they are all publicly owned and open to all.

Beachbeds for El Cañuelo?

The Nerja Councillor for Beaches, Nieves Atencia, issued a press statement to say that they had submitted the municipal Plan de Playas for 2013 to the Regional Government – Nerja is one of the five municipalities in the province to do so, so far.

The Nerja Town Hall has petitioned the regional Board of Agriculture, Fishing and Environment for permission to install sunbeds and suitable shade on Playa de El Cañuelo; the beach concerned lies within protected parkland (Paraje Natural Acantilados de Maro- Cerro Gordo).
