Up in the old town of Almuñécar, near the old town walls along Calle San Crescencio, there is a municipally owned pottery workshop which the Town Hall is keen to promote.

If you venture up into the Barrio San Miguel, Almuñécar, where the castle stands, you will find at least two streets cordoned off with work barriers or fences: Calle Clavelico and Calle Nueva.

People in the old part of the village were pretty browned off (annoyed) over the amount of weed growing along footpaths and steps. Some of he weeds growing on the steps on La Cuesta de Fray Leopoldo were big enough to trip somebody up as they descended these steep steps.
