The Guardia Civil arrested a 54-year-old man suspected of having caused the recent fire on the Loma del Gato, which lies on the border of Almuñécar with Ítrabo.

Whilst contagion figures have increased in other areas of Spain, such as the Balearic Islands, here in Andalucía the increase has been small by comparison.
There has been a slight contagion increase. Deaths, however, jumped by 26 in the capital and by six in Motril. Almuñécar and Molvízar both saw one death.
