Meanwhile, over in Almuñécar, it’s the socialists who are taking shots at the PP-led Town Council over municipal-market progress – or lack of it.
The Almuñécar law court has just confirmed that the case against the Mayor over the municipal market underground car park has been permanently shelved – there can be no further appeal.
The Mayor of Almuñécar, Trinidad Herrera, will have to appear before a judge on the 2nd of February, 2016 to declare, as the accused party, in the Mercado Municipal Case.
Unless somebody changes their mind, the underground car park beneath the municipal market will again be closed with vehicle owners finding themselves out on the streets again – the last time this happened was June 2011 when the lease went from Parking Leo to Hermanos García.
It was announced in the provincial press that Almuñécar first underground parking facilities (Parking Leo) is to change hands.
