Hay-Bale Hell

A barn full of stacked hay bales went up in flames in La Atalaya, Cañete la Real, Malaga, which was the second fire in the province on Thursday.

There was a small fire below a plastic green house in a barranco in the Sierra de Lújar area on Friday afternoon.

Infoca was busy in Gualchos yesterday, tackling a hill fire, deploying some 60 personnel and five fire-extinction vehicles.

The blaze in the Canary Islands continues to incinerate swathes of land, having consumed 4,000 hectares and caused the evacuation of 2,000 residents.
