Setting the Record Straight

I must say I have been waiting for the inevitable lash back and on Tuesday 4th of May it came. I was about to leave for Córdoba Hospital to start my tests for a double lung and heart transplant when my friend came to see me and said that one of the vets in town had been visited by another vet with a better command of English.

What’s Your Problem?

At the beginning of May it was my friends 40th Birthday and her husband decided to surprise her with a party. When he called me in February to invite me along and explain his plan, I leapt at the opportunity of spending a weekend in Bournemouth with my best friend and a group of great people with whom I knew I would laugh plenty and party hard. A weekend of pure self-indulgence: girly chats, meals out and fantastic shopping.

Changes in Building Regulations

Article 92.2.a) of the Andalusian statutes state that the municipal councils are responsible for urban discipline and are answerable to the Junta de Andalucía. The emphasis of these new regulations is placed on the restrictive part of the law, that is to say severe fines and demolition orders.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting a dynamic, fellow Dane, based in Málaga. His name is Henrik Andersen. I contacted him because I heard he was organizing the Smokie concert on May 8th at Castillo Solhail in Fuengirola.

Corruption Touchdown I

El Caso Gürtel is possibly the biggest corruption scandal in history of post-Franco Spain, and one of its tentacles has touched the Costa Tropical: Urbanisación Las Alminares.

Corruption Touchdown II

First of all, it is very important to make it very clear here that not all the villas in Urbanisación las Alminares are tainted by this scandal – many were bought by honest people through honest means.

Ventura Flamenco

Quite a few people have mentioned to me just how much they have enjoyed the Flamenco evenings at La Ventura in Almuñécar.
Well now, it’s going to be bigger and better! With the patio to the rear of the premises having had a stage installed, there will now be live Flamenco music and dance every Thursday and Sunday from 20.30h.
