The Town Council of Lanjarón is being investigated over a spot of alleged ‘illegal’ town planning, bless them. A provincial delegate for the PP has accused the present incumbent in the Councillor for Town Planning’s office of being a bit liberal with his interpretation of building restrictions where his own house is concerned.

This month I went along to an event, organised by the Lanjarón Town Hall, aimed at young children. There was face-painting, coloured-sand arrangement workshops – there was even a fun course for making bracelets out of coloured macaroni.

The Ermita de Lanjarón just celebrated its 100th birthday, during the fiestas de Virgen del Pilar, of course.
Specialised Spas

The Spas in Lanjarón are going to extend their offers to attract more clients. Thanks to the deep-pocketed Junta de Andalucía, also known as the Santa from Sevilla, 6m euros will be granted, bringing the total investment up to 11m euros.
Museo de Agua Update

According to the Mayor of Lanjarón, Mariano Ruiz, the Museo del Agua will definitely – cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die, sort of thing – will be open before the year is out, although he didn’t mention which year, mind.
