Tardy Protection for the Coast

The Junta has finally got its act together (after ten years), regarding the protection of what little unspoilt space is left, whilst at the same time giving some coastal towns a little more leeway over their beaches.

Cerro Gordo Pyromaniac Strikes Again

On Sunday the 12th another fire was started on Cerro Gordo, bringing the local pyromaniac’s score up to ten since the end of last summer. On each of these occasions, fortunately, the fire was detected and put out before it it cause great damage, thanks to the rapid call outs of the fire services.

The Policía Nacional have arrested three Romanians in La Herradura as alleged members of a forgery network, dealing in forged bank notes and identity documents.
