Palm Tree Pruning

The annual palm-tree pruning operation has begun in Almuñécar and La Herradura. The operation has started off concentrating on the town centres and paseos, explained the Councillor for the Environment, Luis Aragón.

Firemen Down A Hole

The Local-Area Council, (Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa Tropical) has organised a potholing course for the firemen of the towns along the Costa Tropical. Fourteen firemen in all, are being instructed in how to carry out rescue missions in caves, mines and crevices.

A Japanese film crew have been in La Herradura for a documentary on subtropical fruit in Spain. They have been visiting Finca San Ramón. and filming chirimoya, mango, guayaba, avocado, carambola and papaya plantations

Guitar Concert La Herradura

On Friday the 2nd, international composer/guitarist, Gary Ryan, will be performing at the La Herradura Civic Centre. Gary Ryan is also a teacher at the Royal College of Music in London.
