Hummel is Danish
by Mette Owens •
The European Men’s Handball Championships in Serbia are happening as I write this article. I watched Denmark lose to both Poland and Serbia, but smiled at the fact that at least both winning teams were sporting Danish uniforms. I recognized the distinctive chevron sleeve trim on the jerseys and shorts and knew instantly that they were hummel (spelled with lower case h) uniforms. This chevron trim and a stylized bumblebee are the company’s logo.

This just to remind you all that the meeting on Tuesday will be at Restaurant Rincon de Peña Parda at the usual time of 1300. I need to tell them how many will be taking the menu del dia (menu as shown at last meeting). So, can you please let me know
Grave Guatemalan
by David Darby •
We don’t get that much news from Guatemala and this month is no different, with the following story being just about on the limit of tastelessness and idiocy.
Step up, Tun Jonah Gómez, an interesting chap from the town of Retalhuleu, which is around 250 kilometres south of the capital. He has an issue with purple men, who follow him around and tell him that he has powers… yes you’ve guessed it, Tun is a pubic hair short of a plug hole, a sandwich short of a picnic, a neuron short of a synapse… completely mad.

Transfer tax and Stamp duty are regulated by the Royal decree 1/1993 of the 24th of September and enforced with the Royal decree 828/1995 of the 29th of May.
Long (distance) Runner?!
by Wolfgang K Piller MD •
Although it is only weeks since the scandal broke over our President’s bearings, it slowly starts to feel like years. Under every pebble lurks a new ‘scandal’ and I can’t help but think, that there are a lot of people out there who follow their own agendas even if it is only higher sales figures or ratings. Saying that the ongoing controversy partly is his fault, too; bad management – admitting news only after it breaks does not appear very trustworthy.
Bowel Cancer – Trust The Medics
by Wolfgang K Piller MD •
Last month two meta-analyses were published about health strategies on how to reduce the chances of developing bowel cancer. A meta-analysis is not a new piece of research, but it looks at all the published research on a subject, thus unifying conflicting results and drawing a conclusion out of the whole body of existing evidence.
Reader’s Letter: Signposting Confusion
by Editor •
Leaving La Herradura on the 31/01/2011 en route to Málaga airport we nearly missed our flight because the signage to the airport is non-existent at the turn off to the new ring road
