La Ventura
by Editor •
The Ventura restaurant in Almuñécar is closed for holidays from the 11th of January to the 26th. Without doubt, Rafa, Fernando and the rest of the crew deserve a break and hopefully won’t be practicing any terminal adventure sports that will put their regular clients’ prospects of enjoying their homely cuisine into jeopardy!
El Faro 2010
by David Darby •
With a heated patio area El Faro may well be the warmest bar in Almuñécar! Open daily from 10am ‘til late, and showing Sky and ESPN on three indoor screens and one on the cosy patio, this family bar is a winter must!
Rincón de Velilla
by David Darby •
Enjoy the menu of the day, consisting of three courses + drink for only 9 € (incl. IVA) and don’t forget Happy Hour every day from 19:00-20:00, when you can buy a drink and get one free!
Super Sheng!
by David Darby •
It has been noted that I am rather partial to a bit of Asian cuisine. So I was looking forward to my first meal at Sheng in Almuñécar, who serve specialities from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and China.
The restaurant is in C/Larache on the corner of Edif. Alhambra, and boasts a very stylish layout, with friendly staff and beautifully presented tables.
Los Laureles
by David Darby •
There’s always the feeling that the party’s over once we get into January. Well, with that in mind, Mark at the brilliant Los Laureles has decided to make the first month of 2010 a bit more interesting, especially on those quiet evenings when you’re sitting at home and wondering what to do with yourself.
