Radio Salobreña has started a weekly programme called, The Costa Connection which is all about the Club Internacional de Salobreña; its planned activities, about their members and the all important integration into the local population.
The programme starts at 20.00h each Tuesday. It will also be retransmitted on Wednesdays at 15.00h, as well as being available on the radio station’s web page in podcast format for those that wish to download it. The programme will also play music from the 70s and up to the present day and there will be interviews.
Club member, Charo Bermudo, was interviewed on the radio, where she explained about the project; how it came about and its aim, which is to reach more people, especially those that have just arrived in the area and even those who live isolated and want to make new friendships.
The club was founded in 2009 and at its beginning most members were British, but little by little members from other countries have joined, but don’t think that you have to be a foreigner to be a member because Spanish people are very much welcome to join, as well.
