The DGT is installing a new speed trap on the A-92G, somewhere along where it runs between the city of Granada and Santa Fe.

Department Head, Juan Diego Ramírez, explained that the speed camera is on a section where the speed limit is only 80 kph.

It was only last year that the DGT installed a speed camera near kilometre point 425 on th N-432 (Córdoba Road), where it passes next to Sierra Elvira, near a Atarfe.

These latest speed cameras are capable of precise speed calculation as far away as 200 metres, so it’s no good braking when you start to get near it.

Last year in Granada there were three times the number of speeding fines issued compared to 2024 – that’s the total for fixed and mobile speed traps. Just the fixed speed cameras knocked out 39,586 fines for speeding.
