The annual fiestas in Nerja in honour of its patron saints Nuestra Señora de las Angustias and San Miguel Arcángel, will be held from Thursday the 8th (today) to Monday the 12th.

The feria will be in the main parking area (Plaza de España) – so say goodbye to parking there, but there will also be other activities on the Balcón de Europa for both day and night activities.

Live music will be provided by Mägo de Oz (Oct 9th), Chambao (Oct 10th), and El Arrebato (Oct 11th) which will all be held in the Plaza de España. Entrance is free.

There will also be the Queen Gala at 22:30h on the first day of the fiesta, whilst the main religious ceremony will take place on Saturday the 10th.

The fairgrounds will feature a daily “quiet windows” from 19:00h to 21:00h, in other words there will be no concerts: this is to “accommodate individuals with sensory and auditory sensitivities.”

As for the fairground attractions, rides will cost 3.5 euros from Thursday to Sunday, dropping to two euros all day on Monday for Children’s Day, which also features a Beauty and the Beast musical tribute.
