It’s tough getting a mortgage for a house, especially a young couple, with the average price per square metre in Spain costing 2,355 euros, so when an offer for a 5-bedoom dwelling on the Costa Tropical comes up for 62,500 euros…

But there is a catch! There always is. The entitiy selling the dwelling is a bank Caixabank and the form of sale is via auction… so that’s a starting price and the winning bidder will also have to cover the expenses and taxes derived from the transaction..

What we know about this large house (231 sq/m) is that it is in Gualchos. It consists of five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a separate furnished kitchen, and a living room with a fireplace. Furthermore, it has a garage, a garden, and a patio with a barbecue. To top it off, there is a rooftop terrace. The property put up for sale by CaixaBank is well-preserved and does not need a complete renovation.

So, when is the auction and how do you get your name down for it? First, you must contact BuildingCenter through their website and request information about the property. After that, you can visit the house and, if you are interested in making a bid, submit the necessary documentation along with a security deposit.

Whilst the bidding remains open, you can modify your offers as many times as you like, although the last one you submit will be the valid one.

The deadline is September the 24th (this Thursday), the house will be awarded to the highest eligible offer that has met all the documentation requirements. If yours is not chosen, the deposit you submitted will be refunded.
