There was a bit of a scare in a fairground attractions park in Almería on Friday evening when one of the machines got stuck, leaving 16 passengers stranded 50 metres up.

As the attraction is one giant arm with a set of eight seats at each end, one group of were trapped, as said above, 50 metres up, whilst the second group were suspended much lower.
Attraction operators managed to get the lower car down using a manually-operated system but the ‘high flyers’ had to wait for the Almería Fire Department to get them down.
Well, very soon the main attraction at the attractions park were the stranded riders, who remained remarkably calm, possibly enjoying their moment of fame.
One of the people in the upper chairs recorded a message and posted it on social media, saying, “Whoever is afraid of dying shouldn’t be born, and I have vertigo, I can’t even look down.”
Anyway, the firefighters used their extention ladder to reach them. They were freed from the safety device on the seats and given harnesses and safety gear before starting the delicate descent down the structure.
The incident began at 23.00h and the last of the riders were safely down by 01.20h.
