Well, Lobres now has its spruced-up and enlarged plaza near the village bus stop, thanks to using an undeveloped embankment, that had been full of weeds and rubbish.
To do this, they cleaned out the vegetation, built a retaining wall and brought it up to the level of the plaza, gaining this way an extra 300 sq/m.
These public works were financed through the municipal coffers, explained the First Councillor for Lobres, Juan Francisco, explaining that the Lobres bus stop has been turned into a small plaza by doubling its useful surface area.
The next step is to install urban furniture such as bins and benches in the coming days, along with outdoor exercising equipment.
Workers from the municipal maintenance department have started on creating a parking area to combat the shortage in the area.

It’s nice to see the outdoor exercise equipment at such areas. I’ve never seen anyone use them though. Not even the town sq by Caixa . Even more parking spaces for those poor souls in the apartments, might have been a better option. Rather than static bikes and rowers. But what do I know ?!
